Google Plus vs. Facebook

google plus and facebook

The talk of the town among socialites..... Google Plus vs. Facebook.

Facebook, the largest social network on the planet and its top competitor Google Plus are battling for the social media throne.

Google Plus was on the rise in 2013-2014, but somehow slowed the growth by not expanding its operations.

These practices gave Facebook the upper edge of mastering dominance. But Google Plus was still in the shadows of Facebook.

The most popular social media platforms basically offer the same thing, a way to connect with others worldwide. Create a free account with both (Gmail account) and (favorite social media site)

But who is running the game full strong? Facebook? Google Plus? google plus vs. facebook

In my opinion... Facebook had a long start before Google Plus, so more people are familiar with using the platform.

          Check this out....

Facebook has over 1 billion active mobile users...

Google Plus's active mobile users are lower than Facebook's
So which is more popular Facebook or Google Plus?

I will have to say Facebook and Google Plus together.... these companies are constantly updating and adding new features on a regular basis. And they are connected to social profiles, gmail accounts, etc.

Facebook makes the user experience very additive. About 7 out of 10 people  look down at their phones to update Facebook statuses and so on.

Google Plus may have the best place to search for information and can design cool looking phone systems (android) but when it comes to social networking...they are in-deed in the shadow of Facebook.

When Google Plus's top developer departed, things went slightly downhill. The corporate team at Google wanted to do things a lot different than Facebook such as not investing and buying other entities for growth.

Google Plus wants to do things differently than Facebook.

"They may have decided that they do not want to play the game that Facebook is playing, that it’s more money than they are willing to spend,” says Scott Strawn, an analyst on Google’s corporate strategy for the International Data Corporation market research firm.

Now you can see why Facebook is totally more popular than Google Plus, these guys are buying up everything that can add value to their empire.

Facebook acquired WhatsApp for $19 billion in Feburary 2014 and Instagram for $1 billion in 2012.  Google Plus vs. Fcaebook

With these new additions... in my opinion.... Facebook knew that the two applications will bring more revenue than invested because they were heavily used and hooked.

Whatsapp is a free calling and texting service used via wi-fi and Instagram is a social media site used to upload, like, and comment on pictures.

Google Plus will be around for quite a while but they will be in the shadow of Facebook.

If Google Plus decides to take another approach at marketing and innovation, maybe they will have a better chance at becoming a top contender.

Google Plus is widely used and the number is steadily growing but the users aren't 100% active on the site.

What could Google Plus do to keep users on the site active on a daily basis like most Facebook users?

Maybe more interaction, maybe apps or maybe just a more user friendly interface.

We have to understand that there will always be one king to a village but if you mimic a king and his powers you will be able to reign one day close.

Another thing that's hurting Goggle Plus is the shuffling of the staff members, these guys are pushed around on other products which can take their focus off their projects with Google Plus's productivity and growth.

Google Plus could dominate the social networking world with just a few tweaks but from what I hear that's not something that will happen right now, not good... but hey....its their platform.

Facebook knows exactly what they are doing to stay dominate in the social networking industry.

Google Plus should decide what are some of the reasons for inactive users....this will open up more possibilities           in the long run.
Facebook has just about everything all in one place and its very convenient for its users. We thought Google                   Plus was a top contender that would dominate but that's not the case.
In conclusion, Facebook is way better as far as advertising, networking, making new friends, playing games,                  etc.
